This season, Cloak designer Alexandre Plokhov continues along with falls depature from the somber, utilitarian look he has gained recognition for. And while he hasn’t entirely abandoned his meticulously dark, military-inspired look, the man behind the label has surely made a
conscience decision to lighten things up, at least for Plokhov standards, that is.

This season, the clothes were cleaner than in seasons past, a feeling shared by many designers leaning towards 90′s minimalism and a liking for all that is graphic. That said, at times it seemed as if the looks were rehashed from old Helmut collections. The change was further observed in the colour palette; sure, the usual array of black, grey, white, and navy was still present, but this time around, entire outfits were brightened with a burnt orange or a tomato red.
As always, the great tailoring was evident in both the double breasted and single button suits and the fitted, beautfully detailed jackets we expect were not lost. A fabulous plaid was shown in both pants and a wrap-vest and the draw-string, fitted pant was interesting. Overall though, I longed for the grittiness I had come to expect from such a talent. Besides, I don’t think I can willingly agree to another season of stripes.

Loveeeee this collection/
