Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen: Why They Have It

To some fashion insiders, these girls are nothing more than rich, tabloid-frequenting, teeny-bopping celebrities who have brainwashed the masses into adopting a look of rags and bags. Say what you will about the eating disorder drama, the man-stealing-catfights, and the drugged-out behavior, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have It – that “je ne sais quoi” that can only logically explain how these 5-feet-nothing girls can sport editorial-worthy looks with such an uncanny sense of ease. While others their age are still testing various looks and experimenting, much to my disappointment, with hip-hugging pants and belly-baring tops, these girls have been able to define a style all their own. And besides, let’s be honest now, which one of the aforementioned adjectives doesn’t apply to half of the “industry” anyway?
