Nicole Ritchie, Paris Hilton, Ryan Seacrest … on Vogue Italia?

Lance Bass? K-Fed? Carmen Eletrca? No, not the 2006 Worst Dressed list, but rather stars in the new October Vogue Italia, complete with Nicole Ritchie on the cover. Shocked is not the word. Usually this listing of people is reserved only for the MTV Movie Awards or something, not the cover of Vogue Italia. What happened to Daria, Gemma, and Hilary? What, have they become more expensive than these substandard celebrities? Now it seems we’re stuck with a Hollywood what-would-you-call? her on the cover and page after page of B-listers in expensive clothes. Sure, I like Nicole and she does look great on the cover, but any and all intentions of irony are non-existent. A social commentary on Hollywood? Keep dreamin’. Instead, this Meisel spread looks like the opening pages of US Weekly except with better styling and lighting. Carmen Electra successfully manages to ruin Chanel, YSL, and Balenciaga all in one shoot, while Kathy Griffith looks like her usual deranged-meets-drag-queen self. As for Lance Bass, too bad this spread didn’t come out a few months ago. I mean, after being photographed in an all-white and all-purple suit, you wouldn’t have to tell people that you’re gay. Up last we have the beloved K-Fed. Yes, K-fed and Vogue. To be honest, I haven’t seen a fit this bad since Mariah Carey’s last public appearance.
