It looks like John Galliono’s overdone, slightly trashy, inky-hued F/W 2006 RTW collection for Dior is having more of an impact than I thought. Sure black is a staple, but head-to-toe black seems to taking over the red carpet. And while many stars may love this trend for its “slimming” wonders, Jessica Simspon’s Ossie Clark gown proves that this “shade of the night” is no miracle worker.

Ironic, isn’t it, that in the most slimming of colors some of these celebrities look…fat?
