7 Good Reasons to Ban the Polka Dot…Do You need More?
There are some that will argue to the grave with me on this one, but franky, the polka dot has had its 15 pages of fame in US Weekly and its time has now passed. To be honest, I love the polka dot and all the 50s influences it triggers. Who doesn’t smile at the thought of the iconic “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini”? But say “polka dot” to me now and all I get are flashes of use-and-dispose H & M shirts and the ever-so-contrived Carmen Electra trying to look prissy *rolls eyes*
First I kill off the stripe and now I sentence the polka dot to the back of the closest, next to the Uggs and gypsy skirts . Do you think I’m leaning towards solids at all?

It’s time for the mainstream to back off polka-dots, but let us alterna-freaks have our fun.
