The Nominees… Michelle Williams in Vera Wang; Audrey Tatou in Balmain; Diane Kruger in Elie Saab
I probably missed quite a few good looks, but there is only one of me and 3,899,352 red carpets a year. So, first up is Michelle Williams at the 2006 Oscars in yellow chiffon Vera Wang. The colour, the red-lip, the romantic, albeit not literal, glamour hair were all perfect. Next we have French actress Audrey Tatou in white Balmain at the Cannes Film Festival. This one dress proves that formal red carpet doesn’t have to mean long. So simple, so chic. Finally, Diane Kruger at the 2006 Oscars in white Elie Saab. Considering most of Elie Saab’s work makes my stomach turn, this tiered champage number looks eatable.
Sorry Lindsay, your Marchesa gowns were a good try. Skip the fake tan and try again next year.
My vote’s for Michelle. I love a blonde who’s bold enough to wear yellow.
