Here are the new unabashedly French YSL ads, shot by Mert & Marcus, featuring everyone’s (yes, you too) favourite red-head, Karen Elson. The colours remind me of years gone by and I think architectural suggestions – from the stacked chairs to the stoic pose – feel on-trend for the season. And frankly, if anyone is going to push purple, eggplant, aubergine – whatever you wish to call it – it should be Pilati for YSL.
