They may have as little in the way of taste as Mariah Carey and their clothes should nearly never be worn unless your work involves a steel pole (and I’m not talking about fire fighters), but Domenico and Stefano have pulled out a great ad campaign for S/S 2007. Featuring models Solange Wilvert, Ekaterina Kashyntseva, Bruna Tenorio, and Shannon Click, these ads are one of the only, if not the only, ads to translate the futurism we saw on the runways into the ad campaign.
It does have the slightly kitschy quality that D & G boasts, and the clothes are still dire, but the concept is intriguing. Is it a commentary on the role of technology in the modern birth? Bah, who am I kidding? It’s likely that Suri has made scientology babies the new chic and the outlet for the D & G boys’ sick fantasy to immortalize the vagflash trend of late.
