It’s rare to legitimately justify use of the word “original” when discussing fashion – but this recent outfit may very well deserve that label. Okay, 30-somethings in Seattle are likely scurrying to file copyright infringement papers as we speak, but I haven’t seen anyone do grunge like this since Kurt’s heydays back in the early 90s.
Sporting a Marc Jacobs’ tartan dress from the fall/winter 2006/2007 collection, Mary Kate breaks every fashion rule known to humankind, pairing it with a black tee, a scrunchie, and platform suede loafers. As with Selma Blair’s attempt at this Jacobs’ dress, execution is poor.
That said, at least we will be salvaged from hearing, “Kate Moss wore that in [insert year here]“.

I too can wrap a tartan blanket around myself.
Oh my… what a hideous outfit!
I should invite her to a session of how to dress your age and avoid becoming a ‘ trashion victim ‘ you only live once ! and in the way help her to get a useful career for the sake of her image…
