Matthew Williamson (left) has just announced he will show his spring 2008 collection in London. Frankly, I don’t only think its a timely move, but one that’s most apt – his penchant for bright colours always seemed out of step with NY’s black instincts. Besides, I’d love to see Williamson and Kane duke out the rights to fluoro orange.
Giammetti, Valentino’s longtime business partner, has said that the 45th anniversary celebrations in July will not be the designer’s last (right) . I’m thrilled to see Valentino stay around longer – I dread the thought of Michael Kors gaining market from the migration of all those old socialites.
