Great news considering the debut collection for what’s been called “the first Topshop” look miserably like, well, Topshop. Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro are leaving the French fashion house of Cacharel after seven years to focus on their own label. Another label that started with excited but clinged precariously to the radar near the end.
Apparently co-designer of Marchesa, Georgina Chapman (right), turned down the head designer position at Valentino. A shame as Chapman shares a love of oversized flowers and glamour the Valentino customer would have gobbled up. No intentional reference to the gobble necks of the brand’s clientele.Kate Moss and Pete Doherty became less relevant with each public appearance they make; Roberto Cavalli ads included. I totally agree. I’m so sick of seeing the Pete and Kate show. Didn’t Clements and Ribeiro get terminated for poor sales?
