His diction – “masculine”, “basics” – seem a conscious attempt to diverge comparisons to the iconic Slimane. Oddly enough, this is a house that made feminine, nonbasic (gold lame Chelsea boots, virgate waxed denim, leather chain mail tops) garments its desideratums. I’ll admit that the earlier Slimane work was more focused on strict tailoring and reinterpretation of the basics, but there was surely more novelty than a samuri-meets-harem pant and pleated bib shirt. I don’t expect KVA to last long.

the dior concept we all love is slowly fading out in a sad way. there’s something missing. hedi, we miss ya!
