Gwyneth Paltrow in an Alaia skirt and Giambattista Valli jacket. Wouldn’t it be darling if you could also have your personality dressed-up everyday by a stylist, Gwyneth? I hate using the word vapid… Agyness Deyn in converse and leather shorts arriving in Heathrow Airport in London. Oftentimes me thinks Aggy and her hipster regalia are just a holographic images produced by Jem & the Holograms’ ultimate visual entertainment synthesizer, Synergy- and I blame Hasbro. Periodically I get a little angry. Depends on the day. Kate Lanphear Elle’s Senior Style Editor, in vintage Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs bag and Balenciaga boots. Fatally charming.

I think each of these is interesting, mostly because they are all very different from one another. One is ladylike, one punky and one professional. Way to hit it all!
I usually save leather for my bags and shoes, but now you have me thinking I could pull off one of these looks without looking like Im about to swing from a pole.
Many thanks! LuVvy……
There’s a really thick line between hipster accoutrements and plain, wilful bad taste. Agyness seems to insist on plopping herself firmly in the latter camp. [A shame, as when she bothers to really scrub up and go for glamour, she carries it off with far aplomb and pizzazz than your average tumbling-blonde-tressed starlet.]
If it was original, one could at least call her eccentric, but her ensembles are usually just a rehash of the worst bits of the late 80s and early 90s, with little of the flair. Sad.
