Lacking a Y chromosome myself, it’s rare that I blow two hours shopping menswear online, but oki-ni.com snapped my floundering attention span into focus straight away. It’s not every day that I come upon a brilliantly curated selection from modern heavy hitters (Alexander McQueen, Raf Simons, Rick Owens, Jil Sander, Maison Martin Margiela), new school cool (Nom de Guerre, Bernhard Willhelm) and hard-to-find cult label Diet Butcher Slim Skin, among others. Even the minimal site design said to me, “we know what’s important…now go shop for it.” You don’t have to tell me twice.
Oki-Ni caters to the high-top enthusiast, clearly…

I know, not every man is a “sneaker person” (or woman, though I wouldn’t turn down a lady-sized pair of those black/white Raf Simons military trainers). A lot of the clothes and accessories have a quieter, less streetwear type of vibe to them. Don’t let my black-and-white theme fool you into thinking there are no colors/patterns in the mix. (Derr Samler Solo or Christian Peau, anyone?)

The “About Us” section of the site ends “we love product, music and style. It’s as simple as that.” That’s all anyone cares about, right? I’ll be returning to Oki-Ni regularly to find a “gift for my boyfriend”, which I will receive, start wearing, and never speak of again. Ssssh.

i love this entry! it makes me want to be a dude. everything here looks so cool.
“It makes me want to be a dude”! That was exactly my thought while shopping this site. Thanks Zoe!
