I love Anja Rubik for her chameleon-like qualities…she can go from “all-American” (hate the term but whatevs) to angular and androgynous in seconds flat. Very happy to see she scored the cover of the June/July issue of French Vogue, shot by mainstays Inez and Vinoodh.

The makeup here is gorgeous; perhaps not the most innovative I’ve seen, but I tend to favor the black liquid cat-eye myself so perhaps I’m biased. In fact, I’m going to go dig up my black liquid liner as we speak….
She makes it work, no?

Considering she’s Polish, it is impressive how “All-American” she can look, no?
Anja is one of my favorites. I love how you can spot her in a crowd, even though she’s not a stand-out looking model like Coco Rocha for example (red hair, pale skin, etc)..
I like the combination of gingham and cat-eye makeup. plus, I love a white background.
