WHITE LIGHT WHITE HEAT – CALVIN KLEIN’S VISIONAIRE 56 SOLAR PARTY

  • Share

I wrote about Visionaire’s solar issue a while back, and last night Calvin Klein threw a party at the Standard hotel in celebration, with an all-white dress code. As a whole, the attendees were chiseled and well-clothed, but these particular looks stood out in the crowd.

Kasia StrussBehati Prinsloo and Jamie Strachan

Kasia Struss (Above Left) proves that, in very rare cases, white shoes aren’t hideous. I love that she looks a little edgy without playing the studied-sloppy card. Which is not to say that there’s anything wrong with Behati Prinsloo and Jamie Strachan’s downtown chic (Above Right).

Heloise GuerinChristina Tosio and Barbara Garcia

Tons of people in the party pictures were wearing these glasses so I’d guess they were handed out there, but I thought Heloise Guerin (Above Left) was the only one who kept them from looking somewhat facetious. I have no clue who Christina Tosio and Barbara Garcia are (Above Right), but they look adorable with their red lips. Garcia’s shoes (sneakerboots?) are ace.

Hanne Gaby Odiele and Ali StephensTabitha Simmons and Craig McDean

Hanne Gaby Odiele (Above Left) is one of the most naturally stylish models there is, and she looks great here with Ali Stephens. Personally I think Stephens’ shoes are a little old for someone her age in the summer, but who am I to argue with Calvin. And I really had to applaud Tabitha Simmons and Craig McDean (Above Right) for rebelliously shirking the white theme.

Thank you to the commenters who enjoyed Sunday’s super-montage! I will definitely do more posts in the future on the days when we might have actually cared about Vogue’s Model Issue
