Word is out that Meisel shot the new Dolce & Gabbana F/W 2009 campaign, featuring quite the stable of faces, including Cory Bond, David Gandy, Eva Herzigova, Noah Mills, Julien Quevenne, Adam Senn, and none other than Madonna-man-toy Jesus Luz. The question is, what is this campaign trying to say? From Left to Right (in photo Below), we seem to have a James Bond type groping his reclining friend, a Fellini heroine, a pants-free revolutionary war uniform, an alarmingly legless man in a suit, random red shoes, and alas, an oiled up Jesus Luz finally shedding some light on the boxing-ring set, otherwise a head-scratcher.

Do you love this campaign or hate it? To me it seems like an outtake, with a huge disparity in overall effect between the left and right sides. I’m also going to agree out loud with all of you who are thinking, “why would anyone book Luz if he wasn’t involved with Madonna?” He is obviously striking, but striking does not always a good model make.

hate it. jesus is all cult-of-celebrity hype. this too shall pass. hopefully quickly.
I dont think its the best shot in the world but it is a head scracther at first but when u look closer, david gandy is meant to be a boxer being “treated”. Adam Senn is also a boxer but hes just been defeated and is been held up by his coach. Eva’s the panic striken girlfriend of one of the boxers and Noah Mills i’d guess is an onlooker. Whilst Jesus is the only one in what could be seen as boxing gear and therefor brings together the image and the odea/
not the best ad i must admit though.x
