For a relaxed but chic look, you can always rely on a crisp shirt or jacket. Or can you?
Rihanna can look like a Terminator or a Star Wars character when she’s on stage (which is getting boring by the way). There’s no denying she is fierce but I personally like to see what she wears when she’s not ‘working’. After all personal style always reveals more about a person. While I like the combination of the patchwork leggings teamed with a Rick Owens jacket and killer heels, it’s missing that bite a clutch or handbag would give. I still give her a 3.5 for effort though.
Rachel Bilson, you will always be Summer Roberts to us (much like your former co-star Mischa Barton will be Marissa Cooper). But you have grown up and shown us that a crisp shirt and tailored black trousers can never be written off. Of course it helps that it’s teamed with Salvatore Ferragamo platform heels and the gorgeous 3.1 Phillip Lim ‘Edie’ studded bow bag. 3.5 salt shakers just for looking chic and not over styled or try-hard nonchalant.
Lady Gaga has left me wondering if she’s just done a Britney. The same week she releases the amazing Bad Romance video clip, she’s pap’d leaving LAX airport in a khaki coloured jumpsuit! Unbuttoned all the way down to her navel nonetheless. It’s sooooo not flattering or sexy Gaga. But you get points for the glam hair and makeup. And because you tried, but it’s hard to top the Bad Romance effort in real life.
