Has Vogue Italia tapped into our psyche and discovered that our emotions spike when we see footage of models taking a tumble on the runway? For their January 2009 cover Steven Meisel has again teamed up with Vogue Italia for another inspired-by-real-life cover — a collage of photos of Karlie Kloss taking a tumble on the runway. Kloss sure does it well that we racked our brains to try to remember any memorable stacks by the young model. Meanwhile the blogsphere has been wondering if the cover could have been inspired by an editorial in the March 2009 issue of L’Officiel Singapore…
What do you think?

Steven Meisel ist einer der weltweit besten Modefotografen, es gibt bessere Arbeiten von ihm. Aber warum sollte er bei solchen “Unfällen” nicht auf den Auslöser drücken?
No one is perfect, and models falling on the runway becomes something we can empathise with. I think that cover is brilliant.
