Celebrity Quarantine

Celebrity style: Elle Style Awards 2010 (part 1)

It’s too easy to pick out the major names on the red carpet so we’re mixing things up this time.

Olivia Palermo popped over to the other side of the pond and seemingly left her smile in LA. But she didn’t disappoint in the fashion stakes with a sequined dress belted down with a studded belt which added a tougher air to her chic-girlie look. As a reality TV star though, she definitely does a lot better than her counterparts in the fashion stakes so a bonus salt shaker for her effort.

Ah Daisy Lowe, you manage to keep things interesting on the red carpet. We kind of hate this Miu Miu look. It looks like the skirt was too small but you chose to wear it higher than usual, wrapped a long white scarf around your boobs and threw on any old black shrug. Except that this is a dress. The redeeming factors are the rocking shoes and the Chanel 2.55 bag you’re holding, but we expected a lot better.

Kylie Minogue is looking good at the age of 41 and even though this YSL dress reminds us a little of Vivienne Westwood’s signature strapless dresses, the look is sexy and sleek. We love the jewels and the embellished Giuseppe Zanotti heels. This look would have been a little dull if it had been on someone younger, but it’s nice to see some semblance of age-appropriate-ness in the celebrity world.
