Milla Jovovich is quite a chameleon, first one of the world’s top models in the nineties and after dabbling in a recording career she turned to acting in the late nineties and found fame in Bruce Willis The Fifth Element in 1997. After a turn at fashion design with her friend Carmen Hawk in 2003 she’s back in the modeling fold for Escada. It’s an interesting model choice as the German label pulls itself back from bankruptcy threats last year. But this ad campaign photographed by peter Lindbergh seems more like an ad campaign for Spanish high street brand Mango than a high fashion brand like Escada. It doesn’t evoke a feel of allure and luxury for me.
What do you think?

I’m not sure I like this ad campaign either. I’d like to see something more refined incorporated into her outfit like an accessory from Persona (http://www.personaworld.com). Really, I’d like to see the whole look cleaned up. I feel like I understand what they’re going for here but its a miss that can be summed up by that necklace.
