Ever since this video (Below) of the Auslander S/S ’12 shoot popped up on Made In Brazil in June, we’ve all been waiting to see the subsequent campaign. Genderless blonde beauty Andrej Pejic and human illustration Rick Genest are two of the buzziest outliers in the business, and casting them together was a brilliant idea for a label whose clothing is otherwise quite simple.
The severity of Genest’s tattoos, nose ring and other facial piercings contrast beautifully with Pejic’s angelic skin and face.
These two had highly distinct aesthetics before the launch of their modeling careers, and it keeps them from seeming gimmicky to me.
